JK Shah Classes, part of Veranda Enterprises, honoured more than 1,200 Commerce teachers and professors at the third edition of its ‘Commerce Educator Award 2026’, organised as part of its Teachers’ Day celebrations at Le Royal Méridien, Guindy, Chennai, on Sunday. Educators from schools and colleges across Tamil Nadu were recognised for their contribution to Commerce education.

CA J.K. Shah, Founder, JK Shah Classes, who inaugurated the ceremony, said the initiative has evolved into an annual platform for celebrating Commerce educators. He noted that the growing participation in its third edition reflects the increasing significance of the award and the contribution of Commerce teachers in shaping students’ academic and professional aspirations.

The initiative is being extended across Tamil Nadu, with award programmes also being organised in Kumbakonam, Coimbatore and Tiruchi, enabling educators from different regions to receive recognition.

Vidhya Srikanth, Founder, Srinivasa Academy and Head – JK Shah Classes, Tamil Nadu, said the award has grown considerably in both scale and reach. She highlighted the role of Commerce educators in guiding students towards professional careers in Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy and Company Secretaryship.

“Commerce educators play a vital role in shaping the careers of aspiring accounting and finance professionals. Through this initiative, we seek to recognise their dedication and acknowledge the impact they make on students and the education ecosystem,” she said.

JK Shah Classes continues to expand its presence across Tamil Nadu. The recent inauguration of its Kancheepuram centre further strengthens its reach and enables more students to access Commerce education and professional course preparation.
