Tourism Malaysia Chennai supported the second edition of FLY & RIDE: Malaysia Coastal Expedition 2026, bringing together 36 cyclists from India and the UAE for a 350-km-plus cycling journey across Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan. The three-day expedition promoted Malaysia as a destination for cycling, sports and experiential tourism.
Mr Hishamuddin Mustafa, Director, Tourism Malaysia Chennai (South India & Sri Lanka), who led the expedition, said the programme offered cyclists an opportunity to experience Malaysia’s countryside, landscapes, culture, food and hospitality while highlighting the country’s potential as a cycling destination, particularly for the Indian market. The expedition also included a Melaka River Night Cruise and other destination experiences.
Organised by Daya Sakti Travel & Tours and Transvel International, the programme concluded in Kuala Lumpur with an appreciation dinner and medal presentation. Tourism Malaysia Chennai said the successful expedition further strengthened Malaysia’s positioning as a cycling-friendly and experiential tourism destination and supported the objectives of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 Campaign.
