TVS Trust Extends ₹8 Lakh Support to Madurai Disability Career Centre

Madurai District Collector Nishanth Krishna, IAS, received a cheque for ₹8 lakh from TVS Arogya Welfare Trust for the functioning of the District Career Guidance Centre for Persons with Disabilities in Madurai district.


The cheque was handed over by C. John David, Assistant Director of TVS Arogya Welfare Trust, during a special grievance redressal meeting for persons with disabilities organised by the Department for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities at the Madurai District Collectorate on September 10, 2026.


Through the centre, career counselling and guidance are provided to young persons with disabilities seeking employment, based on their educational qualifications, skills, interests and abilities.


The centre also coordinates with industrial and service organisations in Madurai district to facilitate employment opportunities in the private sector for eligible persons with disabilities.
