Vikram Solar hosted the third edition of Power Connect 2026 in Coimbatore, bringing together EPC partners, business leaders, IPPs, C&I enterprises, project developers and technology experts. The forum focused on opportunities in commercial and industrial solar, rooftop installations, EPC execution and energy storage.
Coimbatore’s strong industrial base in textiles, engineering, pumps and motors, foundries and auto components offers significant potential for rooftop and C&I solar adoption. Tamil Nadu has 14.35 GW of installed solar capacity as of August 31, 2026, with the state targeting around 50 GW by 2030.
Vikram Solar views Tamil Nadu as both a key market and a strategic manufacturing hub. Of Vikram Solar’s 15.5 GW commissioned module manufacturing capacity, 12.3 GW is located in Tamil Nadu, including its recently commissioned 6 GW facility at Gangaikondan, supporting the company’s focus on local manufacturing and India’s clean-energy transition.
