Srivilliputhur, Kalasalingam University, Kalasalingam College of Physiotherapy, organised World Physiotherapy Day-2026. Vice President Dr. S.Shashi Anand presided.
College Principal Dr. K.S. Jyoti Prasanna, in her inaugural address, The theme of this year's World Physiotherapy Day is "The role of physiotherapy and physical activity in the prevention, management and rehabilitation of cardiovascular and vascular diseases and stroke,"She said.
Dr K Sandhya welcomed the gathering.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Narayanan, Registrar, Dr V. Vasudevan, Dr.C.Sivaprakasam Director-IQAC felicitated.
The Chief Guest Madurai, C.R. R. Physiotherapist, Dr R.S. Muthu.pandi Kumar inaugurated the competitions and the function.
The Principal distributed medals and certificates to the winners of various cultural and academic competitions.
Further, Dr. Hemalatha, Prof. S. Karthick, Yoga instructor Jayanthi were present.
Professors Dr. S. Sivani, Dr. B. Pradeep Kumar, Dr. G. R Maxwell, Dr. M. Manisha, and Physiotherapist Dr R. Ranjith co-ordinated the programme well.
