Swiggy has renewed its insurance partnership with IndusInd General Insurance Company Ltd (formerly Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd), continuing its efforts to strengthen financial and healthcare protection for delivery partners and their families. The company’s accident and health insurance programmes covered more than 25 lakh delivery partners during FY26.
The renewed programme provides accidental death insurance of ₹10 lakh, in-patient hospitalisation coverage of up to ₹2 lakh and family health benefits of up to ₹1 lakh. It also includes maternity coverage for women delivery partners and spouses of male delivery partners wherever family cover is applicable. During the previous policy period, spouses accounted for 75% of maternity claims, while women delivery partners accounted for 25%.
All active delivery partners are covered against accidents, with fixed payouts for accidental death or disability. Child education support is also provided in cases of accidental death or permanent total disability. Healthcare benefits include cashless and reimbursement-based hospitalisation, day-care procedures, maternity benefits and outpatient treatment. Pre-existing diseases are covered from the first day without any waiting period.
Other benefits include emergency ambulance services up to ₹10,000, OPD treatment up to ₹10,000 without sub-limits, pre- and post-hospitalisation expenses, loss-of-pay support and mobile cover.
Through the programme, delivery partners and their families can access round-the-clock free teleconsultations with general physicians and super-specialists, preferential rates on medicines and diagnostic tests, wellness sessions and AI-powered wellness management solutions. Swiggy also plans to extend its health check-up camps and preventive wellness initiatives to additional cities this financial year. Benefits are accessible through the Swiggy Delivery Partner App.
