The Sentient Summit 2023 : Red Heart Foundation hosts Cardiac Superspeciality Conference

The Sentient Summit, Asia’s largest structural heart conclave hosted by the Red Heart Foundation. The Three-day conclave from 28th – 30th April 2023 at the Sheraton Grand in Chennai. promises yet another year of global collaboration and conversations in the field of Structural Heart and Transcatheter Valve Therapies. With the stated intent of improving patient outcomes through the dissemination of shared knowledge, the Sentient Summit is one of the largest super speciality conferences in India.

Over 700 cardiologists and cardiac surgeons attend this three-day conclave and a global faculty panel that includes luminaries in the field of Transcatheter therapies provided immense knowledge and know-how through back-to-back sessions and workshops.

The Summit is hosted by the Red Heart Foundation, a registered public charitable trust.  Through the trifecta of Education, Awareness and Access, the Red Heart Foundation aims to bring a systemic change in the way individuals and organisations approach cardiac health in India.

Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chair of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited delivered the key note address and Dr Sai Satish, Clinical Lead - Transcatheter Heart Valve Therapies. Apollo Hospital Group, India initiated and engaged in agenda and interactive sessions during the summit.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sai Satish, Clinical Lead - Transcatheter Heart Valve Therapies. Apollo Hospital Group, India said, “As we gather here today, we are reminded of the critical role technology plays in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. The advances in cardiology technology have revolutionized the way we understand and treat cardiovascular conditions.”

Featuring 21 international cardiac heavy weights and over 75 stellar cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from across India as faculty, Sentient 2023 housed the cumulative experience of over 30,000 Trans-aortic valve implants under one roof.

Case based panel discussions, research presentations, workshops and debates are some of the highlights of the conclave. Key sessions deliberated upon various cardio topics including challenges, planning and outcomes of procedures and new technology. Key learning sessions included lectures on Hands on Training Village, emerging solutions, Life Time Management Of AV disease and treatment also featured in the summit,

A list of prominent international course directors including Dr Ganesh Manoharan from UK, Dr Geza Fontos and Dr Peter Andreka from France and Dr Saibal Kar, Dr Susheel Kodali and Vinayat N Bapat from US facilitated the summit.
