The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) conducted Placement Drive at its campus in Sriperumbudur on 11th May 2023. More than ten organizations have taken part in the Placement Drive from different parts of the country which includes Rajasthan Jeevaka from Rajasthan, SoS Children’s Villages from New Delhi, CrescenDo Educational Innovations from Kerala, Sevalaya, Chennai, Shadithya Hospital, Chennai, Stepping Stones Centre, and Avtar-Putri Foundation, Chennai, etc. During the Inaugural Session of Placement Drive, Prof. Sibnath Deb, the Director of the Institute mentioned that the Students of RGNIYD have enormous potential to work in various segments of the youth development sector such as Social Work, Computer Science, Applied Psychology, Development Studies, Public Administration, Sociology, English and Mathematics. Prof. Sibnath Deb appreciated all the recruiters for joining the Placement Drive in RGNIYD Campus. He further mentioned that the students placed during the last placement drive are very happy with their place of working and the organizations. He also assured that the administration and the faculty are always striving to provide you the right opportunities at the right time.
Dr. RambabuBotcha, Placement Officer (Social Science Departments) delivered a welcome address on the occasion. He presented 204 students of ten different departments to the recruiters. In his welcome address, he mentioned that the students of RGNIYD have trained and tuned in line with the National Youth Policy 2014 and Draft National Youth Policy 2021 which directs to produce a productive workforce by unlocking the potential of the dynamic young people of the country towards a strong nation building. He further mentioned that the Placement Cell at RGNIYD is in the process of creating competition among the companies in recruiting RGNIYD students. It is expected that on the first day (11.05.2023) of the placement drive around 35 offers will be provided to RGNIYD students.
The students of RGNIYD have expressed their happiness for participating in the interviews with various organizations and companies and receiving offers with a good package. Dr.P.Thiyagarajan, Placement Officer (Science Departments), RGNIYD proposed vote of thanks. In his vote of thanks he thanked all the recruiter for joining the Placement Drive and thanked the Director and administrative staff for fullest support to all the activities of the placement cell.
Interviews were conducted in different venues in the Campus as part of Campus Placements. The Placement Cell Officers and Student Coordinators are inviting various organizations and companies for achieving 100% placements to the students of RGNIYD. The placement drive continues up to 31st May 2023 and some of the organizations are visiting the campus on 12th May, 2023 and on 18th May, 2023 to conduct the interviews for the students of various Departments.
