As the temperature keeps soaring, the scorching heat makes everyone thirsty, but we often forget about the community pets around us. Thousands of our four-legged friends die of dehydration owing to the availability of drinking water during the summer season. On Friday, Royal Canin organized a water bowl challenge in association with Save Shakti Foundation in Chennai to encourage citizens to leave a bowl of water outside their homes and streets for animals and birds to handle the heat and quench their thirst.
Mr. Govind Suryawanshi, Director- of Corporate Affairs at Royal Canin, said, “At Royal Canin, we strongly believe that pets enhance our lives, and our purpose is to create a better world for pets. We strive to live up to this purpose through our focused Animal Welfare Initiatives, which are part of our responsibility towards pets, people and planet and our commitment to society. One such initiative is the “Water Bowl Challenge”, where we are creating awareness amongst citizens and society towards health of community pets who do not have access to basic needs like Water & Food. The objective of this challenge is to encourage residents to place water bowls outside their homes, gardens, public places, and streets for community pets.
