Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre along with The Indian College of Emergency Medicine (TICEM) recently organized an innovative National Level Conference - "The Resuscitation India Summit 2023 and Beyond" at its hospital premises.
More than 300 healthcare professionals and instructors from various medical colleges, private hospitals, and clinics in and around India participated in the conference. The main objective of the conference was to create awareness among healthcare professionals on saving lives by the latest cutting-edge and techniques on resuscitation methods and promoting improvements in emergency medical practices and patient outcomes.
"The Resuscitation India Summit 2023 and Beyond" conference was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. A. Rathinavel, Dean of Madurai Medical College, Madurai, in the presence of Dr. B. Kannan, Medical Administrator, Dr. Sampath Kumar, Head of Department of Nephrology, and Dr. Narendra Nath Jena, Organizing Chairperson, Head of Department of Emergency Medicine.
Throughout the conference, various sessions from Prevention on cardiac arrest, Stroke to advanced Trauma Management and lifesaving scientific updates took place. Also sessions on yogic science and stress management in resuscitation proved cardinal for the effective and more streamlined patient care.
On this occasion, patients who had been successfully saved from cardiac arrest by the MMHRC team released a book titled "Learn First Aid & Save Lives" with 108 life-saving protocols.
In honor of Dr. N. Sethuraman, the founder of Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre in Madurai, who persevered in the medical and healthcare fields, the best research paper presentation was awarded the Dr.N. Sethuraman award. The aim is to boost patient care and resuscitation outcomes throughout India.
