Dyson unveiled the findings of its first ‘How India Cleans’ Study 2026, examining Indian households’ cleaning habits and expectations from floorcare technology. The study found that 52% of respondents frequently miss cleaning under furniture, 48% struggle with corners and edges, 36% identify human or pet hair as a common cleaning frustration, and 38% report that dust settles again quickly after cleaning. Tim Hare, Design and Development Engineer, Floor Care at Dyson, highlighted the importance of effective whole-home cleaning.

The study revealed that 61% of respondents prioritise better technology when choosing floorcare products, followed by cleaning performance (54%) and trust (49%). More than half spend 30 minutes to an hour cleaning their floors. Respondents also use vacuum cleaners across multiple areas, including under furniture (71%), hard floors (70%), carpets and rugs (69%), upholstery (69%), and beds and mattresses (63%).

To address these challenges, Dyson introduced the Dyson V16 Piston Animal™, priced at INR 79,900. Dyson’s most powerful anti-tangle cordless vacuum features the All Floor Cones™ Sense cleaner head, which automatically adjusts suction power and brush bar speed, anti-tangle brush bar cones that remove long hair, and LED illumination to reveal hidden dust. It offers up to 70 minutes of fade-free suction and a CleanCompaktor™ bin that compresses dust and debris to hold up to three times more.
