Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Fisheries Animal Husbandry Dairying Dr L Murugan gave away job appointment orders in Rozgar mela held at KalaiArangam, Tiruchirappalli on June 13, 2023.
Delivering Chief Guest address he said in the past nine years global nations are looking up at India foreign policy. In international issues whole world look at India eagerly to know about its decision. He pointed out that this is the result of crucial policy decisions taken by the central government. More than 70,000 persons were given job appointment orders in Rozgar Melas held in 43 places including Chennai and Tiruchirappalli . Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed through video conferencing and said that central government is giving importance to provide job opportunities to youth. As part of Rozgar Mela, 884 persons were given job appointment orders in Tamil Nadu.
In Tiruchirappalli, Union Minister Dr L Murugan while addressing persons who were given job appointment orders said that during covid pandemic largest democratic country India made covid vaccines under Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme. Many countries thanked India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing covid vaccines which were made in India.
The Minister pointed out that India has now become world’s fifth largest economy pushing England behind. He pointed out that through Operation Ganga initiated by our Prime Minister more than 23000 students of India were safely evacuated from wartorn Ukraine. India also facilitated peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. National education Policy was brought to help students learn in their mother tongue and compete internationally. He said that before 2014, only 500 industries functioned and in past 9 years one lakh new industries were started. He pointed out that India is now third best nation to start industries in the world.
Dr Murugan said that till 2014, only five cities in India had metro service and now metro has been expanded to more than 27 cities. Service, good governance, garib kalyan welfare of poor are the three mantras of central government. He pointed out that through Direct benefit transfer central government scheme benefits reach beneficiaries directly. Under PM Kisan Samman Scheme Rs 6000 is deposited into bank accounts of farmers annually. India is now G20 leader and showing its leadership quality.
Under AtmaNirbhar Bharat scheme defence sector industries are being started in Chennai, Tiruchirappalli, Hosur, Coimbatore. He said that India will become developed nation by 2047 and everybody should strive to achieve this. IOB General Manager ReyazulHaq, Tiruchirappalli Railway Additional Division Railway manager Mr. ST Ramalingam and others participated in the programme.
