Karate to Gojugan South Indian Open Karate Championship Karate Tournament was held at Erode Mallikai Arena. 1000 karate fighters from three states of Tamil Nadu Karnataka and Kerala participated in this competition organized by Aram Kalaiyakam Martal Arts Academy.
Men's and Women's Katta competition was held in 7 categories, Kumithe competition in 18 categories and Katta team competition and Open Katta competition in 2 categories each.
Minister Muthu Samy inaugurated this karate competition. 4 thousand as first prize for the winners of the competitions 2nd prize of Rs.3 thousand and 3rd prize of Rs. 2 thousand and various prizes were awarded.
The arrangements for this were made by the chief director of the competition Madhu Vishwanath and coordinator Raja.
