The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Annamalai University has conducted a one day National Conference on “Revolutionizing Computer Engineering: Trends and Technologies". The inaugural function of the National Conference was held at Phoenix’99 hall on 22nd February 2024 at 9.00 a.m.
Dr.R. Ragupathy, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering welcomed the gathering and briefed about the theme of the Conference. Dr. R. Bhavani, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering delivered motivational presidential address.
Dr. C. Karthikeyan, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, inaugurated the conference by giving an inspirational inaugural address and shared his views on the current Trends and Technologies in Computer Science Engineering. Mr.R.Arun Rajagopal, Director, Business Development, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai was the chief guest of the day. In his keynote address, he highlighted the current trends and technologies in IT industry and shared views about requirements of Artificial Intelligence technologies. 40 research articles from the various recent research areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Block Chain Technology, Face Recognition, Computer Networks, Speech Processing, Image Processing etc., have been received for the National Conference. The Faculties, Research Scholars and Students from various institution from tamilnadu and other states were participated and presented their research contributions towards the various technology developments in Computer and Information technology fields. The Conference Coordinator Dr.S.Mohan, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering delivered the vote of thanks.
In the valedictory function, Dr.Rm. Chandrasekaran, Professor (Rtd.), Department of Computer Science and Engineering participated in the conference and given keynote address about the revolutions and usage of new tools and technologies in the society. He highlighted the research papers at the conference and gave the award to the best research paper and certificates to the participants. Other Coordinators Dr. R. Arunkumar and Dr. C. Anbu Ananth made the arrangements for the conference.
