As a part of 53rd National Safety Week Celebration, a special lecture on “Safety Health and Environment” was delivered by Dr.Nitin Shriniwas Gedam, Assistant Director (Industrial Hygiene), DGFASLI at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai on 06 March 2024 to promote awareness on safety precautions among employees of CVRDE.
Further to the special lecture, Dr Lalit R Gabhane, DG National Safety Council delivered his presentation on the topic “Focus on Safety Leadership for ESG Excellence” from DRDO Hqrs. Subsequently, Shri. Devendra Gill, ED Safety, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd also presented his lecture on the topic “Safety Challenges of Undertaking Construction Projects in Urban Areas” at DRDO Hqrs, Delhi. Both the lectures were live telecasted to the CVRDE fraternity at Arjun Auditorium through WebEx platform.
After the lectures & presentation, the CVRDE security personals have carried out the live demonstration with the firefighting equipment’s (Mock Fire / Disaster Drill) and explained about the safety methods to be followed during the unforeseen period.
Shri J Rajeshkumar, Outstanding Scientist & Director, CVRDE graced the valedictory function of the National Safety Week Celebration and addressed the gathering. The safety week celebrations concluded with prize distributions to winners of various competitions, which was held at CVRDE as a part Safety Week celebration.
