The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification for the "Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination, 2024" on March 28, 2024. This open competitive examination aims to recruit for Junior Engineer positions across various Government of India organizations/offices. These positions fall under Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial category, with a pay scale corresponding to Level-6 (Rs 35,400-1,12,400/-) of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Candidates from all regions of the country are eligible to apply for this examination. Applications are to be submitted strictly online through the official SSC website, https://ssc.gov.in. The deadline for online application submission is April 18, 2024, until 23:00 hrs.
In the Southern Region, the Computer Based Examination is scheduled to take place from June 4, 2024, to June 6, 2024. The examination will be conducted across 21 Centres/Cities, distributed as follows: 10 Centres in Andhra Pradesh, 01 Centre in Puducherry, 07 Centres in Tamil Nadu, and 03 Centres in Telangana.
