Recycle Textile Federation honors Icon and Stalwarts of OE Mills

Business MInutes

In their remarkable four-decade journey in Tamil Nadu, Open End Spinning Mills (OE Mills) have risen to prominence despite numerous challenges. Today, with over 8,00,000 rotors spinning under their aegis, these mills have become valuable-adders in the textile sector, providing substantial contributions to both the industry and the community.

OE Mills specialize in producing 2/32 yarn by recycling cotton waste, polyester waste, viscose, and mélange waste from spinning mills. Additionally, they produce an impressive array of 50 varieties of dyed yarns (2/40 count) by blending recycled fibers from ready-made clothing industry waste and plastic bottles. These eco-friendly yarns are vital to handloom, powerloom, and knitting industries, showcasing a sustainable approach to textile manufacturing.

To recognize the icons and trailblazers who have propelled the OE Mills sector forward, the Coimbatore-based Recycle Textile Federation (RTF) led by its Chairman R.Jayabal, organizes RTF Awards Ceremony annually.
