Student Induction Programme at Madurai Mother Teresa Women’s University

Students Induction Programme was conducted at Mother Teresa Women’s University, Research and Extension Centre, Madurai Campus on 12th July 2024. The program aimed to welcome new students, provide essential information about the University, and foster a sense of community among the new entrants. 


The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr.P.B.Beulabel Bency, Assistant Professor of Education, who emphasized a warm welcome to our new students. The program laid a strong foundation for the students' academic journey and contributed to creating a positive and inclusive campus environment. She extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants and organizers for their enthusiasm and dedication. 


Dr. K.Kala, Vice chancellor, Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal, in her Presidential address shared her insights and words of wisdom. She encouraged students to be active participants in campus life and highlights available resources and support services including academic advising, counseling, and career guidance. Her presence underscored the importance of this event and reflected her unwavering commitment to the students and the University. The programme was honored by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. K.Linga Durai, Dean, Anna University Regional Campus, Madurai, his enthusiastic speech has inspired many and serves as a guiding example for everyone also he shared valuable views from his professional journey and motivated students to pursue excellence in their academic and personal endeavors.  


Dr. M.Pusparani, Director, Mother Teresa Women’s University delivered a special address, expressing excitement and pride in welcoming new students to the institution and acknowledging the importance of this milestone in their academic journey. She emphasized the institution's commitment to academic excellence, student development, and societal impact. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. R.Padmavathi, Assistant Professor of Commerce. She expressed appreciation to dignitaries, the organizing committee, student volunteers, and all participants for making the event a grand success followed by the National Anthem. 


The Student Induction Programme successfully met its objectives by providing essential information and fostering a sense of community among new students. Continuous improvements will be made based on feedback to enhance future induction experiences.
