Chennai City Region celebrated the distribution of “Regional Excellence Awards, 2023-2024” on 28th August 2024 at “Kalaivanar Arangam”, Walajah Road, Triplicane, Chennai – 600005. Ms Mariamma Thomas, IPoS, Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Circle, Chennai – 600002 was the chief guest and she gave away the awards. Shri Ms. B. P. Shri. K.A. Devaraj, IPoS, Director Postal Services (HQ), Tamilnadu Circle were the Guests of Honour. Shri G. Natarajan, IPoS, Postmaster General, Chennai City Region presided over the function and Shri Major Manoj M, IPoS, Director Postal Services, Chennai City Region delivered the welcome address and Shri G Babu, Assistant Director (Business Development) concluded the function with vote of thanks. The best effort put forth by the Divisions, and officers and officials to achieve the targets of the region in various discipline were identified as 47 teams and individual categories, and 4 special awards category. Accordingly, 151 awards were given on that day.
