The Mother Teresa Women's University, Madurai Campus, celebrated Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami with great enthusiasm and devotion on the campus. The event, which is dedicated to the worship of tools and instruments, was marked by a series of rituals and cultural performances, culminating in a special address by the Director, Dr. M. Pushpa Rani.

The celebration commenced with the traditional Ayudha Puja, where tools, books, computers, and other equipment were decorated and offered prayers, symbolising gratitude for their role in daily life and education. The Director, Dr. M. Pushpa Rani, inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the traditional lamp, followed by the chanting of prayers.

In her special address, Dr. M. Pushpa Rani highlighted the importance of Ayudha Puja in invoking divine blessings for success in every endeavour. She emphasized the significance of both hard work and the right tools in achieving goals, encouraging students to maintain discipline and dedication in their academic pursuits. "The tools we use are symbols of the effort and skill required to excel in life. Today, we celebrate not just the implements we work with, but the knowledge and wisdom they help us acquire," she said.

The students of the various departments added a cultural touch to the event by performing a special devotional song, which filled the campus with a spiritual ambience.

The event concluded with the distribution of sweets to all the students and faculty members as a mark of celebration and unity.
