The two-day Space Science Camp organized by the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation in Sankarankoil, Tenkasi district for the first time concluded successfully today. Students were captivated as they observed celestial bodies through telescopes, marvelled at stars, planets, and galaxies.
Voice of Tenkasi Foundation has been consistently organizing various social initiatives aimed at benefiting students. With the goal of making Tenkasi district the top in education across India, Voice Of Tenkasi foundation's founder Mr. Ananthan Ayyasamy encouraging students to explore the world of science beyond traditional school education. In line with this, he organized a two-day space science camp to ignite interest and curiosity among students about space exploration.
The space science camp commenced on the morning of September 30 and concluded on the evening of October 1. Many enthusiastic students from various private and government schools across the district participated in the camp. During the closing ceremony, Voice of Tenkasi Foundation’s founder, Ananthan Ayyasamy distributed certificates to all the participants and commended their efforts.
Earlier, the students attended sessions on space science led by Ramesh, the principal of Sadhana School in Kadayanallur and head of the Tenkasi Science Center, along with Dr. Muthukumaran and Lenin from the Tirunelveli District Science Center, as well as Dr. Subbiah Pandian, Vinnarasu, and Dr. Muthusamy. On the night of September 30 and the early morning of October 1, the students had the opportunity to observe space through a telescope and marvel at its wonders. The event was hosted by Karunya, the Chief Operating Officer of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation. The foundation’s team ensured that all necessary facilities were provided for the students throughout the camp.
