On behalf of the Tirunelveli Central Bureau of Communication Office, which functions under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India, an awareness camp on Swachhata Hi Seva was held today at Keelanatham Therkur Village.
Mr. Saravanan, Project Director of District Rural Development Agency, Tirunelveli attended the camp as a special guest and presided over the ceremony. He then honored the 31 Swachh Workers with shawl, gave them protective gloves and awarded prizes to the winners of the competition held earlier. Later saplings were also planted.
Panchayat President Mrs. Anuradha, Medical Officer Dr. Ramesh, Podhigai Tamil Sangam President Poet Pera, Swachh Bharat Movement District Coordinator Mr. Muruganandam, Block Coordinator Mrs. Sudha, Panchayat Secretary Mr. Shanmugam Satish and Panchayat Members took part and spoke on the occasion.
Swachh Bharat Pledge was taken and finally performances by Semmeen Song and Drama Troupe took place.
