Pondicherry University hosted the book launch of the French translation of Dr. Kiran Bedi's critically acclaimed work Fearless Governance, now titled Une Gouvernance sans peur. The event took place today at the Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, marking the international debut of this important work on leadership, governance, and public service.
The launch was a joint initiative of the Department of Management Studies and the Department of French at Pondicherry University. It introduced the French-speaking world to Dr. Bedi’s bold ideas on fearless leadership, emphasizing integrity, accountability, and courage across all sectors of governance. The French translation offers readers a fresh perspective on leadership that is grounded in values and the pursuit of positive change.
In attendance at the event were several distinguished guests, including Mr. Etienne Rolland Piegue, Consul General of France in Pondicherry and Chennai; Dr. Sandhya Cherian, Correspondent of The Study School, Pondicherry; Mr. Theva Neethi Das, Former Secretary to Dr. Kiran Bedi; Prof. S. Pannirselvame, Former Head of the Department of French, Pondicherry University; Prof. Tharanikkarasu, Vice Chancellor (i/c), Pondicherry University; Prof. Clement S. Lourdes, Director of Culture & Cultural Relations; and Prof. Rajneesh Bhutani, Registrar (i/c), Pondicherry University.
Dr. Kiran Bedi, renowned author and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, captivated the audience with her insightful discourse on the principles of fearless governance. Her presentation highlighted the need for leadership that is unwavering in its commitment to integrity and accountability, particularly in the context of public service.
The French translation of Fearless Governance brings Dr. Bedi's impactful message to a new, global audience, inspiring leaders, policymakers, and citizens alike to embrace a governance model grounded in courage and ethical responsibility.
