SSN Institutions and Shiv Nadar University Chennai Award Scholarships Worth ₹5 Crores to 500 Students

In a significant initiative to support meritorious students, SSN Institutions and Shiv Nadar University Chennai jointly awarded scholarships to over 500 students during a ceremony attended by corporate leaders and alumni of the institution. Mr. Dhinakar Jacob Selwyn, Vice President and Global Head - Core Technologies at Capgemini Technology Services India Limited, was the Chief Guest for the function and Mr. Ranjit Ramachandran, Independent Director and Former CEO of Plant Lipids Private Limited, was the Guest of Honour for the program. 


The alumni special guests included Ms. Abinaya Elanchezhian, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate-cum-Revenue Divisional Officer in Cuddalore, Government of Tamil Nadu and an esteemed alumna from SSN College of Engineering 2016 batch, as well as Mr. Stalin Muthusamy, Founder and CEO of Aaytham Consulting, and a 2013 alumnus. In her address to the scholarship recipients, Ms. Abinaya Elanchezhian IAS, recalled her days as a student of SSN in 2016. She encouraged the students by saying, “Learning extends beyond the classroom, it’s a lifelong journey. Don’t wait for opportunities - go out and create them.” 


Mr. Stalin acknowledged the role of SSN in the holistic development of students and urged them to contribute to society after becoming alumni.


Reflecting on the origins of the scholarship initiative, Dr. Kala Vijayakumar shared, “Mr. Shiv Nadar himself is a testament to the transformative power of scholarships, having pursued his education with the help of one. Inspired by his vision, these scholarship schemes reward excellence in diverse fields while extending crucial financial aid. Since 1999, scholarships have been awarded to over 10,800 students across numerous categories, with a cumulative value of Rs. 97 crores, empowering them to achieve their ambitions.”
