Srivilliputhur, Kalasalingam University, Department of Mathematics organised, three days International conference sponsored by SERB, DRDO & MOES and titled on Application of Fluid Dynamics - (ICAFD-24).
Dr. K. Sridharan, the Chancellor, inaugurated the conference and presided over the function.
The Chancellor said, “Knowledge will not come from individual but gathered from crowd of people with multi disciplinary field across the Globe”.
The Vice president Dr. S, Shasi Anand, the Vice Chancellor, Dr. S. Narayanan, and the Registrar Dr. V. Vasudevan, gave felicitations.
While Vice Chancellor addressing on Research development in university, he said, h-index of the Kalasalingam University is 110”
Dr. M. Pallikonda Rajasekaran, Director - R & D gave welcome address.
Dr. B. Reddappa, detailed the three days conference and the aim of the conference.
Dean, C. Ramalingan, introduced the chief guest and all speakers, and said total 206 research papers on fluid dynamics received across the globe. HoD, Dr. M. Kameeswari, introduced the guest of honour.
Scientist, Dr. R. Panneer Selvam, University of Arkansas, U.S.A., Dr. Nagarani Ponakala, The University of the West Indies, West Indies, Dr. Katta Ramesh, Sunway University, Malaysia, Dr. Sreedhara Rao Gunakala, University of West Indies, Dr. Victor Job, University of West Indies, Dr. Sumon Saha, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, and Scientist from Dhanbad, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Warangal, Patna, Pune and Chennai participated and spoke on their research in fluid dynamics.
The Chief Guest Mr. R.K. Ramachandran, Asso. Director - HR, Deloitte Shared Services India LLP, Chennai in his inaugural address said, “Industrialisation of students project is missing at present and innovation in industries also to reach to Institutes and Public”. The Chief Guest also released the conference souvenir.
Guest of Honour Dr. Ram Balachandar, University of Windsor, Canada, “Students to be questioned in all classes and laboratories which will make them to become innovators” and “Basic principles in all fields to be understandable by the students”.
