L/CPL Dhanalakshmi S from Lady Doak College, Madurai, of the 2Tamil Nadu Girls Battalion NCC, Madurai Group successfully completed the prestigious Para Basic Course at the Army Airborne Training School (AATS) in Agra from November 1 to November 25, 2024. This challenging course, designed to equip cadets with airborne operation skills, began with rigorous ground training from November 1 to 14. Following this, the cadets enjoyed a cultural visit to the Taj Mahal on November 17, offering a refreshing break before resuming their practical training, which included the Ground Training and Fan Descent Tests.
The highlight of the course was the day jumps at Malpura Drop Zone from November 20 to 22, where CL/CPL Dhanalakshmi S demonstrated exceptional parachuting skills. Her outstanding performance earned her the Best Para Jump Cadet Award.
The cadet was also inspired by a visit from Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, Director General of NCC, on November 19. His motivating words encouraged her to pursue excellence in both training and future endeavours. L/CPL Dhanalakshmi's success reflects her determination and dedication, bringing honour to her college and the entire region.
