As per the instructions of the Central Government, the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Week was observed with the aim of creating awareness among the postal employees.
In view of this campaign, Smt.T.Nirmala Devi, Postmaster General, Central Region initiated this program in our region, in order to create awareness among the postal employees, an awareness camp was held at National College Higher secondary School, Tiruchirappalli on the regional level Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at work place, POSH ACT - 2013.
The Postmaster General, Central Region participated in this event and delivered an insightful address among the staff on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at work place. Further, Shri. Leo Jesurajan, Assistant Superintendent of Post offices, O/o PMG, Tiruchirapalli and Smt. Revathi, Inspector Posts, Aravakurichi Sub-Division gave an explanatory seminar on POSH ACT-2013.
More than 150 GDS staff from Trichy and Srirangam Postal Divisions had participated and benefited.
Shri.Thangamani, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Tiruchirappalli Division, Smt. Josephine Sylvia, Assistant Director, O/o PMG, Tiruchirappalli and Shri. Ramani, Superintendent of Post Offices, Srirangam Division have participated in the event.
