Hebina, a student from Sambavarvadakarai in Tenkasi district, who won a state-level essay competition and received an award from Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, was felicitated by BJP Tenkasi District President Ananthan Ayyasamy at her residence.
Hebina, the daughter of Kottaisamy and Ramalakshmi from North Amman Temple Street, Sambavarvadakarai, is an 8th-grade student at Duraisamipuram Panchayat Union Middle School. She participated in a state-level essay competition held for students of classes 6 to 9 last September. Her essay on the topic “The Framing of the Indian Constitution: Key Events and Leaders” won third prize.
On January 26, 2025, Hebina was awarded a cash prize of ₹25,000 and a certificate by Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi during a ceremony at the Governor’s residence in Chennai. Following this, the school’s headmistress Meenakshi and other teachers congratulated her.
On January 28, 2025, BJP District President Ananthan Ayyasamy visited Hebina’s residence in Sambavarvadakarai to personally congratulate her. He presented her with a token of appreciation and lauded her achievement. He also expressed his appreciation to the teachers who mentored her and congratulated her parents. He encouraged Hebina to participate in more such competitions and bring laurels to the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Ananthan Ayyasamy stated, “I am delighted to meet and congratulate Hebina, who has brought pride to Tenkasi district. This recognition will inspire her further. Education enhances one’s ability to learn and helps in advancing in life. It fosters discipline and responsibility. Education is essential for overcoming poverty and plays a vital role in promoting unity and peace in society. With quality education, individuals can make meaningful contributions to the community. Students should prioritize education and participate in competitions like debates and essays, which help in honing their unique talents.”
