Useful equipment was distributed to the students of the D.E.L.C. Special School for the Differently-Abled in Sivaganga district, Tiruppathur, by the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Humanitarian Transformation Kuwait Trust.
The trust provided items such as televisions, health and hygiene products, sweaters, and mixers for the benefit of the students attending the special school located in Prabhakar Colony, Tiruppathur.
The event, held on the school premises, was presided over by the trust's chairman, S. Azhagarsamy. The school’s correspondent, Dr. A. Sathiyadas, music teacher Vaigai Prabha, and Differently-Abled Association leader R. Kannan were also present.
Social activist R. Ilavarasan, the guest of honor, encouraged the students to overcome the mindset of being differently-abled by using education as a tool to bring about change in their lives. He also distributed the equipment to the school.
Other participants included Sigaram Kanagaraj, Veluchamy, and schoolteachers. The headmistress, V. Jesileela, welcomed the gathering, while teacher T.A. Arunsugandh delivered the vote of thanks.
The event concluded with the provision of a midday meal sponsored by the trust.
