The 76th Republic Day celebrations at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore were marked by a profound address from Sadhguru, who reflected on India’s rich cultural heritage and its significance for the world’s future. Speaking in front of Adiyogi, Sadhguru highlighted that India’s culture has survived and flourished for millennia, holding the key to a sustainable and inclusive future for the world.

Sadhguru elaborated on India’s historical role in spirituality and democracy, emphasising that the people of India have always been the true source of power, and that India’s culture and civilisation have remained unchanged, regardless of who has been in power. This continuity and strength make India unique and vital to the world.

He added, "Culturally, everyone who wanted to follow the spiritual path always headed towards the East. Here, the East refers to India. At one time, 30% of the population here was dedicated solely to the spiritual path, turning inward. You can see this today at the ongoing Kumbh Mela. A massive number of people are, without any other purpose in life, dedicated solely to turning inward.”

He further pointed out that in India, it is not uncommon for individuals within a single family to worship different deities, with these differences never serving as a foundation for conflict.

“This is not a small thing because this means our differences are not the basis of our conflicts. That is the future of the world. The world learns this, that our differences are not ever the basis of our conflicts. That is the future of the world,” emphasised Sadhguru.

Listening to him were thousands of people, including the Sulur Air Base team, ashram residents, volunteers, tribal communities from surrounding areas, and local villagers, all united in celebration of the event.
