Triple Festival at Thiruppathur Anna Branch Public Library

A grand event was held at the Thiruppathur Anna Branch Public Library in Sivaganga district to mark the silver jubilee of the installation of the 133-foot statue of Thiruvalluvar in Kanyakumari.


In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the iconic statue's installation, the celebration included honoring students who won the Thirukkural Selvi awards, recognizing librarians who received the Best Librarian Award, and appreciating patrons and donors. The event was presided over by District Library Officer K. Thirugnanasambandham.


Reader Circle President L. Jayachandran presided over the function, and teacher A.D. Victor participated as the special guest.


The event began with floral tributes to the statue of Thiruvalluvar. Students from Christuraja Matriculation School, P. Bhuvanadharshini and K. Dhanyashree, who won the Thirukkural Selvi award, were honored with certificates of appreciation. Librarian R. Mahalinga Jayakanthan, who received the Best Librarian Award, was also recognized.


New patrons, including E.M. Bhaskaran, A.D. Victor, A.D.V. Ruben, and donor V. Prabhakaran, were felicitated with congratulatory messages.


Librarian Jesudasan delivered a special speech on the life and contributions of Thiruvalluvar. Earlier, branch librarian R. Mahalinga Jayakanthan welcomed the gathering.


The event was organized by the librarians of the Thiruppathur Library Wage Center and members of the Reader Circle.
