The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology (AVIT), Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (DU), Paiyanoor, Chennai inaugurated the AI NEXUS Club, an initiative aimed at fostering innovation, collaboration, and advancement in artificial intelligence. The event, held at the AVIT Chennai Campus, aligns with AICTE’s vision of “AI FOR ALL.”
The ceremony commenced with Tamil thai vazhthu, followed by a warm welcome from Dr. S. Balakrishnan, Professor & Head, CSE, AVIT. A brief introduction to the AI NEXUS Club was provided, emphasizing its role in organizing problem-solving events, workshops, and networking opportunities for students.The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. G. Selvakumar, Principal of AVIT, who highlighted the significance of AI-driven initiatives in academia.
The event was graced by Dr. Parthiban Srinivasan, Professor & Director, Centre for AI in Medicine, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation, Puducherry, as the Chief Guest. He delivered an insightful address on the transformative impact of AI in modern industries A major highlight of the event was the workshop presentation on “The AI Revolution in 2025: Why It Matters More Than Ever”, delivered by Dr. Parthiban Srinivasan, which provided valuable insights into upcoming AI advancements.
