A Mega conference titled "Earn Everyday with Integrated Farming" will be held on 9th February at PSNA College, Dindigul. Organised by the Isha’s Soil Save Movement in collaboration with PSNA College and HDFC Bank, the event aims to empower farmers with practical knowledge on integrated farming methods that ensure consistent income.

Ahead of the event, a press conference was held today at the Coimbatore Press Club, where Mr. Muthukumaran, Field Coordinator of the Soil Save Movement, addressed the media.

Speaking at the conference, Thiru. Muthukumaran stated that for the past 20 years, the Isha's Soil Save Movement has been working towards transforming Tamil Nadu into a natural farming state while revitalising farmer livelihoods and restoring soil health. He shared that over 30,000 farmers across Tamil Nadu have received hands-on training in natural farming through field programs. Additionally, ongoing guidance is being provided through WhatsApp groups and direct farm visits, enabling 10,000 farmers to successfully transition to natural farming.

Highlighting the challenges faced by farmers, he said that relying on a single crop often results in heavy losses due to unpredictable yields and fluctuating market prices. Integrated farming presents a sustainable solution, allowing farmers to generate daily income from multiple sources. The upcoming seminar, expected to bring together over 2,000 farmers, will feature pioneering farmers who will share their success stories and insights on integrated farming. Discussions will also cover government benefits and subsidies available for setting up integrated farms.

Farmers such as Thulasidas, who earns ₹12 lakh annually through goat, cattle, poultry, duck, and crop farming, and Annadurai, who generates ₹12 lakh per year through broiler chicken farming, will share their experiences. Sharmasth, a veteran with 30 years of experience in fish farming, M.R.K. Farms Gautam, who earns ₹1 lakh per month from goat farming, and Kandasamy, a progressive farmer from Coimbatore known for his success in cultivating greens through integrated farming, will also be part of the seminar.

To provide a hands-on learning experience, a model integrated farm featuring goats, cattle, chickens, ducks, and fish will be set up on the college campus. The event will also host an exhibition and sale of seeds and over 50 value-added products.

Farmers interested in attending can register in advance by calling 83000 93777.
