The Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) has taken significant strides in deepening its industry-academia engagements by signing two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during July 2025. These partnerships aim to develop leadership capabilities across organisational levels and reaffirm the institute's role as a hub for executive education and talent development.
On July 21, 2025, IIM Tiruchirappalli signed an MoU with Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. (RNAIPL) to deliver customised certification programmes focused on enhancing the management skills of senior leaders at RNAIPL. The MoU was formally executed by Dr. Saravanan P, Dean – Corporate Relations & Faculty Affairs, IIM Tiruchirappalli, and Mr. Keerthi Prakash VM, Managing Director, RNAIPL, at a ceremony held on campus.
The event was graced by Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, IIM Tiruchirappalli; Mr. Dhushyanthkumar T R, Director – HR, RNAIPL; and Mr. Christuraj B I, General Manager – HR, RNAIPL. Also present were RNAIPL HR Team members Ms. Sakthi Shivani B and Ms. Aishvarya R, along with officials from IIM Tiruchirappalli's Executive Education and Consulting Office, including Mr. Senthil Saravanan, Corporate Relations Officer, and Ms. Rajalakshmi Chandrasekar, Assistant Administrative Officer.
This partnership aims to bridge the managerial skill gap and empower senior professionals at RNAIPL with strategic thinking, adaptive leadership, and ethical decision-making frameworks through IIM Trichy's curated learning interventions. An engaging interaction between the RNAIPL leadership team, IIM faculty, and MBA students followed the MoU signing.
In a parallel development, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) launched the ARISE Core Talent Program, a flagship leadership initiative for emerging managers, in collaboration with IIM Tiruchirappalli and MDI Gurgaon on July 3, 2025
ARISE—short for Aspiring, Recognising Individuals for Success and Excellence—is designed to accelerate leadership readiness for high-potential employees at HMIL. The programme integrates academic excellence with business-focused learning experiences across IIM Tiruchirappalli and MDI Gurgaon campuses.
Mr. Natwar Kadel, Vertical Head – Human Resources, HMIL, remarked, "Our partnership with IIM Tiruchirappalli and MDI Gurgaon reflects our belief in strategic talent investment. The ARISE program is not just about learning—it's about transformation."

The program has officially commenced with its first cohort actively participating in immersive modules designed to build strategic insight, cross-functional agility, and leadership effectiveness.
