TNAU’s Department of Physical Sciences and Information Technology, AEC&RI, Coimbatore, organized an on-campus awareness workshop on the Unified Portal for Agricultural Statistics (UPAg) on 18th July 2025, with support from the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW), Government of India, held at the Hunter Douglas Seminar Hall. The event was attended by faculty members, M.Sc. Agricultural Statistics postgraduates, and B.Tech (AIT & FoT) undergraduate students.
The workshop highlighted the value of UPAg platforms in strengthening data-driven agricultural education and research. Key highlights included live demonstrations by Ministry officials – Ms. Sonia Sharma (Director, DA&FW), Ms. Parul Jain (Joint Director, DA&FW), and Ms.Megha Panday (Senior Business Consultant, DA&FW), showcasing UPAg’s features such as data visualization, policy dashboards, and decision-support tools. Dr. A. Raviraj, Dean appreciated the student for the active participation and encouraged them to use the portal for their research work.
