STAR Health and Allied Insurance inaugurated its new branch at KK Nagar, Trichy, in a grand ceremony yesterday. With the inauguration of the new KK Nagar branch, STAR Health aims to bring its trusted and accessible healthcare protection closer to the people of Trichy, further strengthening its service network and customer outreach.
The inauguration was graced by the Minister for Municipal Administration, Mr. K.N. Nehru, who commenced the event with the traditional Purna Kumbham welcome and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. V.J. Senthil, MS (Ortho) - Chairman, GVN Group of Hospitals; Dr. Subbha Somu - Member, Dhisha Vigilance and Monitoring Committee (Tamil Nadu); and Mr. R. Ashok - Zonal Head, STAR Health, all of whom conveyed their best wishes on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Balajibabu C, Regional Business Head - Region 5 (RO5), shared a brief overview of STAR Health’s achievements, including last year’s business growth, claims settled, agent strength, expansion of network hospitals, customer-centric wellness programs, and future growth plans.
Highlighting Trichy’s performance, he noted that in the current financial year, the Trichy zone has achieved ₹11 crore in new business and settled 5,557 policy claims amounting to ₹41.24 crore, delivering remarkable health insurance service to the community. His concise and impactful address became one of the highlights of the event.
In his address, Mr. K.N. Nehru commended STAR Health’s efforts to make insurance services easily accessible to the public and expressed his wish for more branches to be opened across the state for the benefit of customers.
