Awareness camp on central government welfare schemes concludes at Ambasamudram

The awareness camp on central government welfare schemes, organized by the Chennai Regional Office of Central Bureau of Communication under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, which began yesterday at Ambasamudram, concluded this evening.


In this morning’s event, Assistant Director of Horticulture Prasanna Kumar attended as the chief guest and spoke about the various subsidy schemes being implemented by the government for horticulture, and answered questions raised by students. He then honored and presented prizes to students who won in the painting and elocution competitions held for Merit College students.


At the afternoon session, One Stop Centre case worker Mrs. Anita and ICDS supervisor Mrs. Rajeswari participated and spoke. 

They also held a quiz competition among the students and gave out prizes.


At today's event also, stalls were set up byfor the ICDS, agriculture, the social welfare office, and the postal department. The postal department carried out Aadhaar-related services.


Field Publicity Officer Gopakumar welcomed those who attended the event. Field Publicity Assistant  Velmurugan who compiled the program offered a vote of thanks also.
