A special integrated awareness programme on government welfare schemes was held in Nagamangalam village, organized jointly by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tiruchirappalli, and Manikandam Panchayat Union, on behalf of the Trichy Zone, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and the Central Public Relations Office at Manikandam Union.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Bala Nagendran, Assistant Director of the Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He stated that the integrated special awareness program on central government welfare schemes is being held in every district, with the Trichy event seeing significant participation. The importance of central government schemes and how to benefit from them were explained in detail. Awareness was created among the public about various schemes, including the Women's Safety Scheme, Savings Scheme, and Jal Jeevan Scheme.
Special speeches were delivered by District Social Welfare Officer Vijayalakshmi, District Project Director ICDS Nithya, Block Development Officer Manikandan, Parimala, Child Development Project Officer, and Block Coordinator Sasikumar. Jayaganesh, Assistant Field Publicity Officer, Vellore, delivered the keynote address. Assistant Field Publicity Officer, Tiruchirappalli, Arunkumar welcomed the guests, and Nagamangalam Panchayat Secretary Mr. Francis delivered the vote of thanks.
