Footprints Daycare and Preschool, a leader in early childhood education in India, has opened its first company-owned centre in Chennai. This strategic expansion builds on its already successful franchise in the city and reflects the company’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for quality childcare among urban families in Tamil Nadu’s capital.

The launch event drew around 80 families who participated in fun-filled activities like a magic show, DIY art sessions, origami, and a seed-planting workshop. Parents had the opportunity to explore the facility, meet educators, and learn about Footprints’ modern, research-backed approach to early education and parenting support.

Founded in 2013, Footprints currently operates over 190 centres across 26 cities and has impacted the lives of more than 30,000 children. With $7.5 million in funding, the company is on track to reach 325 centres by 2026. This new Chennai centre can accommodate up to 150 children, supported by 15–20 trained staff and world-class safety and curriculum standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Raj Singhal, Co-founder & CEO of Footprints, said, “Chennai's a big deal for us, and we're seeing more and more families looking for top-notch childcare. Opening our first company-owned center here means we can bring our global standards for safety, awesome curriculum, and overall child development to even more families.”

The new centre offers real-time CCTV access, biometric and OTP-based security, and a nutrition-first meal plan. Catering to toddlers, preschoolers, and after-school learners, it promotes holistic development. With over 55 centres already in Bengaluru, the Chennai launch signifies Footprints’ growing footprint in South India.
