Nehru Group of Institutions hosts National Innovators Conclave 2025

The Nehru Group of Institutions, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, through its Technology Business Incubator (NGI TBI), organised the National Innovators Conclave 2025 at its Campus-2 in Coimbatore on Thursday. The conclave served as a platform to showcase innovative projects, foster collaboration, and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.


The event was inaugurated in the presence of Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chairman and Managing Trustee, NGI, Chancellor of P.K. Das Deemed to be University, and Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius to India. Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO and Secretary, NGI, and President of NGI TBI, Pro Chancellor of P.K Das Deemed to be University presided, the President of TIE Mr. Arjun Prakash was the Chief Guest while Dr. H.N. Nagaraja, Executive Director, Academics and Administration, NGI, delivered the keynote address.


Marking a major milestone, NGI TBI signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the conclave. Magicmyna partnered with NGI TBI to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship, while Finetech Auto Components Pvt. Ltd. (Fintech Enterprises) entered into a MoU to promote research, technology adoption, and stronger industry–academia linkages in the automotive sector.


The Innovation Showcase emerged as a highlight, featuring more than 35 projects across healthcare, environment, mobility, and technology. Among the standout exhibits was an IVD Device for Early Pancreatic Cancer Screening, developed under NGI TBI incubation to provide affordable diagnostic solutions. Another notable innovation came from Kaniskten N., a Grade 8 student of Advaita International School, who presented his “K10 Highway Dust Cleaner,” designed to enhance road safety and environmental standards.


The conclave also hosted a Premium Masterclass, which drew over 70 participants from academia, startups, and industry. The sessions were led by Mr. Premkumar M., Governing Council Member, TiE Coimbatore, on “Customer Value Innovation,” and Ms. Anooja Bashir, Co-Founder and CMO, FlexiCloud, on “Brands Power and Marketing Strategy.”


The valedictory function was addressed by Dr. V. Narayanan, Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman, ISRO. In his valedictory address Mr. Narayanan said, “We have selected four astronauts so far. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested the selection of more astronauts, which is currently under way.” In the interaction with students, he said India plans to establish its own space station by 2035 and to land a man on the moon by 2040, with a safe return to Earth. The Isro chief highlighted the growing demand for satellite launches. “Despite launching 133 satellites over the past 50 years, there is a demand for 155 more satellites in the next three years,” he said. He emphasized the potential business opportunities in satellite development and encouraged private companies to invest in this burgeoning sector. Narayanan expressed gratitude to the countries that had previously denied India access to cryogenic engine technology. “Their denial became a catalyst for us to develop our own indigenous cryogenic engines, which we have successfully tested. Today, India stands proudly among the six nations capable of producing this advanced technology,” he said.


Chief Guest. Dr. Ravinder Gaur, Scientist-E, Department of Science and Technology, was Guest of Honour, The Executive Director of NGI TBI Dr. B. Vaikundaselvan have made all the arrangements of the programme.
