The Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology (COXBIT), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, actively participated in the Tamil Nadu Global Start up Summit (TNGSS 2025) held on 9th and 10th October at CODISSIA, Coimbatore.


COXBIT highlighted its cutting-edge initiatives, advanced research capabilities, and state-of-the-art infrastructure that drive biotechnology innovation and support start-ups through a robust Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The Centre showcased its core research domains, encompassing enzyme and biomolecule engineering, development of bio-based formulations, synthesis of Phytohormones for fruit ripening; plant growth-promoting compounds, and a range of bio-inputs. These innovations are strategically aimed at enhancing crop productivity and advancing sustainable, eco-friendly agricultural practices.


During the two-day summit, COXBIT’s stall attracted significant attention from entrepreneurs, students, and industry representatives. The team provided insights into the bio-analytics, laboratory facilities, and incubation laboratory technology available at the Centre. Visitors appreciated COXBIT’s contribution toward bridging academics and industry through technology transfer and collaborative research.

Their displays received excellent feedback from visitors, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives, showcasing COXBIT’s role in nurturing biotechnology-based enterprises.


COXBIT’s participation in TNGSS 2025 signifies a long-term strategic initiative aimed at fostering translational research, innovation driven entrepreneurship and commercialization in the biotech domain. The event provided a valuable platform for meaningful engagement with innovators, investors, and government representatives, facilitating discussions on potential partnerships and future collaborations. Around 30 startups are expressed for their research collaboration with COXBIT.
