Voice of Tenkasi & Shraddha Maanu Foundation launches Free Teacher Training Program for Homemakers in Tenkasi District

With the aim of creating new career opportunities for educated homemakers in Tenkasi district—ranging from those who have completed Class 12 to degree holders—Voice of Tenkasi Foundation has joined hands with Shraddha Maanu Foundation, Chennai, to launch a Free Teacher Training Program.


The program, first introduced last year, has already helped hundreds of educated homemakers in Tenkasi transform their passion for education into a profession, successfully starting their careers as teachers.


As part of this ongoing effort, the inaugural session of the new batch of teacher training classes was held yesterday (October 12, 2025) at the Banana Processing Centre located within Veerasamy Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Puliyangudi.


The event was presided over by Ananthan Ayyasamy, Founder of Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, who highlighted the organization’s various initiatives for the empowerment of women in Tenkasi district.


Madhumathi Narayanan, Founder of Shraddha Maanu Foundation, shared details about the structure and benefits of the training program.


The session also featured educator, author, and consultant Kavitha Javagar as the Guest Speaker.


The vote of thanks was delivered by Karunya Gunavathi, CEO of Voice of Tenkasi Foundation.


This year’s program will be conducted in two distinct streams:


Upasana Teacher Training Program – for graduates


Includes 170 hours of online sessions and 45 days of practical training.


Based on Multiple Intelligences Methodology, focusing on holistic teaching practices.


Participants will receive career guidance and placement assistance.


The program commences on November 5, 2025.


Mutharpadi (Foundation) Tuition Teacher Training Program – for homemakers who have completed Class 12


Designed to help women conduct effective home-based tuition classes for school students.


Covers comprehensive training in Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.


Training begins on November 26, 2025.
