Tiruppur Kumaran, born on October 4, 1904, in Chennimalai, Erode district, was a valiant freedom fighter who laid down his life during India’s independence movement. Revered as “Kodi Kaatha Kumaran” (Kumaran who guarded the flag), his legacy continues to inspire generations.
On the occasion of his birth anniversary, South Indian Sengunthar Mahajana Sangam paid floral tribute to his statue located at Sampath Nagar, Erode.
State Vice President and Erode District President Mr. Nandagopal, Zonal President and District Secretary Mr. Chozha Asaithambi led the homage by garlanding the statue and offering flowers in remembrance of his sacrifice.
The event witnessed the heartfelt participation of numerous Sangam executives and volunteers, who gathered to honor the memory of the great martyr.
Let us remember and salute Kodi Kaatha Kumaran, who gave his life for our nation’s freedom.
