BJP Tamil Nadu State President Nainar Nagendran visited Erode district, participating in multiple events and engaging with local stakeholders.
His first stop was a meeting organized by the Federation of All Trade and Industry Associations (FATIA), chaired by V.K. Rajamanikam. During the session, Nainar Nagendran received petitions from industrialists regarding GST reforms, including Tax exemption for silver anklets and toe rings, Removal of dual taxation on retail and wholesale goods.
Later in the evening, at 6:30 PM, Nainar Nagendran addressed a BJP public meeting held at Veerappampalayam. As part of his statewide campaign titled “Thamizham Thalai Nimir Thamizharin Payanam” (Tamil Nadu Rises – A Tamil’s Journey), he declared:
“Today marks the 12th day of my tour. I am meeting the people of Erode the birthplace of freedom fighter Dheeran Chinnamalai, Easwaran, and visionary Kalingarayan. I firmly believe that the National Alliance led by Edappadi Palaniswami will bring a change in governance in the 2026 elections.”
He also criticized the government’s negligence regarding the textile dye pollution issue in Erode, stating that over 25 villages and water bodies, including Kulam, have been affected by untreated effluents from SIPCOT industries.
The public meeting was presided over by BJP Erode District President S.M. Senthil. Other key attendees included Modakkurichi MLA C. Saraswathi, State General Secretary Karuppu Muruganandham, Central Government Advocate M.P. Palanisamy, Admk k.v Ramalingam, thenarasu and Bjp Vice President Gunasekaran, District General Secretaries, Treasurers, Mandal Leaders, Wing Heads, Party Executives, and a large number of local citizens.
