National-Level Industry Seminar Held at Nandha Institute of Technology

A national-level industry seminar on "Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Batteries for Energy Storage Devices" was successfully organized by the Department of Science and Humanities of Nandha Institute of Technology, Erode, in association with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India.


The seminar was presided over by V. Shanmugan, Chairman of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust. The chief guests were Dr. M. Sathees, Scientist at the CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, and Dr. M. Parthibavarman, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Government Arts College for Women, Salem.


The Principal of the college, Dr. S. Nandagopal, delivered the presidential address and highlighted the benefits and significance of the seminar. Earlier, N. Vijayakumar, Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering.


During the technical sessions, Dr. M. Sathees and Dr. M. Parthibavarman delivered presentations on environment-friendly batteries through audiovisual demonstrations. They explained the importance of green chemistry, advanced materials science, and electrochemical energy storage, while discussing the global applications of eco-friendly batteries, recent research advancements, and their contribution to sustainable development. The speakers also interacted with students and answered their queries on the subject.


The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. P. Balasubramaniam, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry.


The faculty members and students who organized the seminar were congratulated and appreciated by Bhanumathi Shanmugan, Member of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust; S. Nandakumar Pradeep and S. Thirumoorthy, Joint Managing Trustees; and A.K. Velusamy, Administrative Officer of the Nandha Technical Campus.
