CANEUS International and the Government of Maharashtra have announced a partnership to establish the world’s first Global Mid-Technology Readiness Level (TRL 4–6) Innovation Acceleration and Skilling Institute in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The announcement was made at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Dr. Milind Pimprikar, Chairman of CANEUS International. The institute will focus on aerospace, space, energy, and deep technologies, addressing the critical gap between early-stage research and deployable systems.

Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis said the initiative strengthens Maharashtra’s position as a global innovation hub, while Dr. Pimprikar noted that the institute will advance TRL 4–6 innovations through rapid prototyping, systems integration, validation, and qualification.

Spread across a purpose-built 10 million sq. ft. ecosystem in the MMR, the institute will enable global collaboration, industry partnerships, and industry-aligned skilling. The initiative aligns with Maharashtra’s Viksit Maharashtra 2047 vision and MIISP 2025.
