The Graduation Day ceremony of Sri Sai Montessori Teacher Training Institute for the calendar year 2025 was held at Hotel Chakra Residency on Vandiur Road, Madurai. The institute, functioning at Anna Nagar, Madurai, has been playing a significant role in training competent and socially responsible Montessori teachers.
Dr. Prabhakar, Director of the institution, delivered the welcome address, while Mrs. Karthiyayini, Principal and Managing Director, presented the annual report highlighting the achievements and growth of the institute.
Delivering the chief guest address, Dr. M. Abdul Kadir, Former Principal, Wakf Board College, Madurai, stated that the day of graduation was not merely the occasion of receiving a certificate but a solemn commitment to shoulder social responsibility. Emphasising the importance of Montessori education, he said that as it deals with children below six years of age, teachers play a crucial role in sowing the seeds of values such as love, discipline and good character in young minds.
“Children may forget what we teach them, but they will never forget the love, care, safety and respect we give them,” he said, congratulating all the graduating students and urging them to become compassionate and responsible educators.
Dr. Suresh, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Madurai Kamaraj University, observed that continuous learning was the true strength of a teacher and appreciated the institute for empowering women by moulding them into capable and confident teachers.
Mrs. Sundarambal, Principal, Vedic Vidyashram School, remarked that Montessori education provides a strong foundation for children’s mental well-being and personality development, and expressed confidence that the graduates would become guiding lights for society.
Mr. Suresh Babu, Director, Ellora NEET Coaching Centre, lauded Sri Sai Montessori Teacher Training Institute for its consistent efforts in producing high-quality teachers.
At the concluding session, the chief guests jointly awarded diplomas to 23 students who had successfully completed their training and distributed prizes to winners of various competitions. Parents of the students appreciated the institution for nurturing teachers who are skilled, responsible and socially committed.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Mubeen, Educational Coordinator of the institute.
