Cholan World Record achiever S. Esakki Muthu called on V. Prasanna Kumar, IPS, Superintendent of Police of Tirunelveli District, and received his appreciation and blessings for his remarkable achievement. Congratulating the achiever, the Superintendent of Police appreciated his courage, determination, and dedication. He also emphasized that the role of police officers extends beyond maintaining law and order, and includes encouraging people especially the younger generation to pursue positive and constructive activities in life.
According to the Cholan Book of World Records (CBWR), Mr. Esakki Muthu accomplished a daring feat by successfully covering his face with Indian honeybees continuously for 5 hours and 3 minutes, demonstrating exceptional bravery, strong mental resilience, and remarkable physical endurance under highly challenging conditions. The record attempt was performed on February 20, 2026, at Maria Arts and Science College, Vallioor, in Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, India.
Mr. Esakki Muthu’s achievement is expected to inspire young people and farmers involved in beekeeping. The feat also highlights the importance of Apiculture, encouraging farmers to explore honey cultivation and related bee-based products as a sustainable source of livelihood and rural economic development.
