The 6th edition of the BRICS CCI Women Empowerment (WE) Annual Women’s Summit 2026 concluded with a strong call to advance women’s leadership in innovation, science, and entrepreneurship. Addressing the summit, Chief Guest Raksha Khadse, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, emphasized that India’s vision for becoming a developed nation by 2047 is rooted in inclusive growth, with women’s empowerment at its core.
Organised by BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry Women Empowerment Vertical, the three-day summit focused on the theme “WISE – Inspiring Change, Shaping Tomorrow.” “This Summit is a call to action to build stronger ecosystems and invest in women-led innovation,” said Ruby Sinha, President, BRICS CCI WE. Leaders including Sameep Shastri and Abhishek Singh highlighted the importance of policy support and inclusive technology development.
The summit also recognised several global achievers for their contributions. Veteran actor Shabana Azmi and actor-entrepreneur Bhumi Pednekar were among those felicitated, alongside policymakers and industry leaders. The event featured B2B networking sessions, global collaborations, and initiatives like Mission ShakthiSAT, reinforcing the role of women in shaping a more inclusive and innovative future.
