Zelio E-Mobility, a fast-growing electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in South India. The upcoming plant, covering around 39,000 sq. ft., will focus on the assembly of electric scooters, along with storage, logistics, and related operational activities. The company expects the operational setup to begin in April 2026, while commercial operations are projected to start by July 2026.

“South India represents a key growth corridor for Zelio, driven by increasing demand for electric mobility and strong market potential,” said Kunal Arya, Managing Director of Zelio E-Mobility. “The Coimbatore facility marks an important step in expanding our manufacturing footprint in the region. It will help streamline our supply chain, support the growth of our dealer network, and enable us to deliver our electric mobility solutions more efficiently.”

The new facility will become Zelio’s fourth manufacturing unit in India, complementing its existing plants in Ladwa and Patan in Haryana and Cuttack in Odisha. Together, these facilities support the company’s production, assembly, and regional operations as it scales up to meet growing demand.

Zelio recently raised ₹78.34 crore through its SME IPO in 2025 and reported consolidated revenue of ₹134.78 crore with a profit after tax of ₹11.87 crore for the first half of FY26.

The company offers a wide range of electric two-wheelers under the Zelio brand and e-rickshaws under the Tanga brand, supported by a dealer network of over 350 outlets across more than 20 states and union territories.
